FAQ

Do you see clients in-person or online?

I see clients both in-person and online. I see clients in-person ONLY on Wednesdays located in Chinatown, New York. These spots are reserved for full fee clients. I see clients online via Zoom Tuesday through Friday. I do not see clients on Mondays or the weekends.

What is your session fee?

My full fee is $200 for adult individuals, $250 for adolescent individuals and $300 for couples work. These are the rates for those that can afford it. The ability of folks to pay my full fee allows me to offer my sliding scale fee and provide more affordable therapy.

Do you take insurance?

I am an out-of-network therapist. Our sessions may be covered partially or completely based on your out-of-network benefits. I am able to provide you with monthly superbills for reimbursement. You as the client will be fully responsible for payment at the time or service and your insurance will reimburse your expenses.

Please check your coverage carefully. Here are a few example questions to ask your provider to learn more about your out-of-network benefits:

  • Do I have “out-of-network” mental health benefits?

  • What is my deductible and has it been met?

  • What is my co-insurance?

  • How many sessions per year is covered?

  • What is the coverage amount per session?

Do you offer sliding scale?

Yes! My sliding scale is based on financial need and has limited spots available. If you would like to apply for my sliding scale, please reach out via email and we will mutually agree upon a fee that feels doable for you, and we will work for up to one year at that set fee. I will be prioritizing client spots that:

  • Want to meet on a weekly basis

  • Are immigrants or Black, Indigenous, people of color

  • Are facing housing instability due to homophobia or transphobia

What is your cancellation policy?

My practice has a cancellation policy of 48 hours notice in the event that you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. I do this so that I might be able to fill the canceled session. If you are unable to provide at least 48 hours notice when you cancel/reschedule, you will be charged the full fee for your session (Note: insurance companies do not reimburse for missed appointments).
